A bad investment in a commitment or ideology

You or someone around you made a bad investment in a commitment, an ideology or or some form of conformity. This investment may have created major obstacles and blocked progress and forward movement. It may be putting you or them in a place of having to make an important decision about which path to take. It could have delayed fulfillment of some dream or interfered with finding true love. This investment may be affecting someone's confidence and sense of empowerment or bringing out narcissistic tendencies.

Some commitments may look appealing on the surface, but are not worth investing in long term. All investments are a gamble. We learn to accept the consequences and trust that we're being taught an important spiritual lesson through the detours that ultimately lead us to our destination.
